Yoga Basics for beginners: Getting back to basics, this class is for those new to yoga, or those wanting to get back to the foundation of yoga. Moving slowly through each posture, this class focuses on a safe introduction to some of the core poses, simple alignment principles, and bringing awareness to your breath.
Gentle Hatha Yoga: Our Gentle Yoga class is designed to meet the participant "where they are". Coordinating movement to breath, gentle yoga consists of both standing and seated postures. In a non- competitive, compassionate environment all levels are welcome to experience the healing benefits yoga.
Candlelight Yin: Practiced by candlelight, this is where we slow down and surrender. Mostly seated postures, each pose is held for minutes at a time, providing a release from built up tension and allowing the body and mind to relax and open up.
Vinyasa Flow: Vinyasa flow is designed to bring the practitioners awareness to connecting movement with breath. Each posture is linked to the next in a harmonious balance, developing more strength, balance, and flexibility. All levels welcomed.
Kripalu Yoga: Kripalu Yoga emphasizes Sustaining Presence, even if fleeting NOT PERFECT BUT PRESENT; life does not require us to be perfect.
A gentle yoga class in which the level and intensity is your choice. Listen to your body, honor it’s needs, the postures are entry ways into a deeper knowledge of self. Kripalu Yoga invites a gentle introversion and calming of the nervous system as your body stretches and strengthens.
Breathe, relax, feel, watch, allow.
Private Yoga Therapy: This is a calming and profoundly effective healing modality that helps the body to realease what it is holding on to, either physically or emotionally. The therapist skillfully takes the client through a sequence of movements, exploring range of motion to address their specific needs. While in the poses clients explore all sensations with a non judgmental curiosity, initiating a profound clearing and freeing of blocked energy. No prior yoga experience is needed.
Group Yoga Therapy: Therapeutic classes of 3-6 clients using the wall, blankets, and blocks to allow a deliberate holding of specific poses, encouraging a release of blocked energy and a deep final relaxation. The movements work the chakras, the seven energy centers of the body. Similar to Private Yoga Therapy in it's outcome.

Meet Our Instructors:
Salema Taylor: Certified Yoga Instructor
Salema, is a 200 hr certified yoga teacher with extensive practice in various styles including, Ashtanga, Ashtanga-Vinyasa, Hatha, Yin, and restorative. She seeks to bring enlightenment, self-love, and peace to all she has the pleasure of teaching.
After spending years in the stressful corporate world, she realized that there had to be a fun, relaxing, exploratory way to leave that fast faced life behind, for even a moment, and take the time to love our mind, body, and spirit wholeheartedly. She believes focusing inward, staying grounded, and finding your balance will take you on a beautiful journey through this life.
Gia Sweeney: Certified Yoga Instructor
Gia could not be more grateful with where her life has brought her. Not only is she a proud mother, she is so excited to be able to teach and give back. A 200 hour trained yoga teacher, Gia is currently working on her Ayurvedic Yoga Specialist Certification. Gia also has a committed yoga practice of her own. Ilene Glickman: Certified Yoga Therapist and Yoga Instructor.
Ilene has her Yoga Therapy certification through AmritYoga Institute, her 200 hour Yoga Instructor certification through the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and a certification in Mindfulness Meditation. Ilene has experience teaching all ages, children through seniors. She has developed a dynamic program for children combining yoga with story, joining her Masters in Library Science with her yoga trainings.
Ilene came to yoga through her own desire to let go of a way of being that no longer served her. During that time her only methods to reduce stress, stop repetitive thought patterns and "tune in" to self were to pound it out on a long run, on a tennis court, or in a spin class. She found this temporarily calmed her, but was short lived. Her discovery of yoga, the subsequent evolution of her own yoga practice and certifications, have transformed her life. And now her passion is to bring these therapeutic practices forward into the world, exposing people to a new way of being while promoting a deep sense of wellbeing. Ilene's classes are infused with gentleness, passion and a light hearted energy.
